Coast Guard Commander Is Robot Bomb Casualty. Wearing the Purple Heart, Coast Guard Commander Ralph T. Eiland of Washington, , has returned to the United States to recuperate from injuries received when a robot bomb crashed only 75 feet from the house in which he was standing in England. Commander Eiland, who is awaiting a new assignment, is believed to be the first American casualty of the flying bombs to return to this country.
