Reykjavik, Iceland, 30 May 2006. Hallgr’mskirkja is a prominent Lutheran (Church of Iceland) parish church in Reykjav’k, Iceland. At 73 metres, it is the largest church in Iceland. Its exterior is intended to evoke the basalt lava flows of Iceland's volcanic landscape, whist its cool, spare interior- seen here - is architecturally just as striking. A modicum of post processing has emphasised the beauty and graphic simplicity of the interior forms.
