We breeders now have our third bad season in succession; this we all know from the price turkeys have commanded, and if all locations have suffered the loss of young poults that this one has the price for turkeys will not go down this season. The past spring and summer were so cold that there was no insect life to speak of, we have not seen a grasshopper as we remember the whole season. Probably they had plenty west of the Mississippi river, but this part of Illinois has not; but turkey breeders must not get discouraged next season may be a banner one.—B. F.
