Man shows off his scar from open heart surgery. Bypass cardiac surgery.

Scarring is the result of damage to the skin. While no methods of avoiding scars have been found there are techniques to lesson their severity. The size of the wound matters greatly of course and the tissue that replaces it actually has little to do with skin tissue. Scars can form anywhere on the body where damage occurs including nerves and bone. Scar tissue is inferior in most cases to the original and on the skin is vulnerable to ultraviolet rays especially.
