. Dingee guide to rose culture : roses and bulbs for fall planting autumn 1910. Special List of Hardy, Own-Root, Dormant, Field-Grown Roses READY FOR DELIVERY ABOUT OCTOBER 15 WE have now growing in our fields a limited number of big, vigorous Roses —a magnificent list of varieties—which will bring unalloyed joy to those so fortunate as to get their orders in on time. There are not quite 3,000 of them, in the following varieties— merely a trifle compared to the demand there will be for them,—so we will have to carry out the rule of "first come, first ; Send in your orders at once, and we will reserve the plants for you if you are not too late. Orders will be filled strictly in the order of receipt. After these are gone no more can be had at any price. These are mostly June Roses, now so scarce and eagerly sought after. These plants are all three-year-old, on their own roots, and have been growing in our field for over a year after being grown in pots for two years. They are absolutely hardy every- where. Do not be misled into buying the de- partment-store Holland-grown, grafted plants, which never live more than a year or two in this country. They will be ready for delivery as soon as they are dormant—about October 15. No other establishment in the country can make an offer like this—it hasn't the stock; and the ridiculously low figure at which we price these Roses is the greatest bargain ever offered to the rose-lovers of this country. Full descrip- tions of these beautiful Roses will be found in our catalogue. See other side for a special offer on four of the greatest Roses ever grown. For this sale only the price of these Rose bushes —"plants" doesn't describe them—is 50 cents each, $5 per dozen, except the Blue Rose. If you add 10 per cent to the amount of your order, we will send by express prepaid to any point in the U. S. or Canada. Mad. Charles Wood. H. P. Fiery scarlet, shading to rosy crimson. Mad. Masson.
