In 1883 he retired from the paper and re-moved to Shohola Falls, Pike Penn., where heengaged in the lumber business. In 1885 he was united in marriage with Mar-garet A., daughter of Robert Gedney, Esq., ofNyack, N. Y., and granddaughter of the late P. Smith, well known as one of the pioneersteamboat owners on the Hudson river. During herhusbands service in Congress Mrs. Hart was promi-nent in the social life at the National capital. Twochildren were born to this marriage : Helen Gedneyand Percy Williamson, both attending school at Mil-ford. Subsequently he purchased the Col. Pagefarm, near Milford, and became interested in real.
