Fatlips Castle, Minto Crags, Scottish Borders
16th Century four storey tower picturesquely situated on Minto Crags dominating the Teviot valley. 9 by 8m with a machiolated parapet walk and crowstepped caphouse. Restored in 1857 and 1897-8. The name probably originates with the Turnbulls, the first builders, who were known for their full lips.
