Grimm & Gorly had a very hand- some float—rock of ages—and trimmed with beach leaves at the Indus- trial parade October 7. A. Brix also had a beautifully decorated float rep- resenting the interior of a modern flower shop with three young ladies dressed in white making up wreaths, sprays and baskets for festive pur- poses only, no funeral work entering into the spirit of the occasion. H. J. Weber & Sons had a miniature garden The Bentzen Floral Co. also had a float. Kahrs Floral Co. opened up its new store "The Little Flower Shop" on Saturday. Elegant floral plaques were presented to visitors who had received printed invitations. The new wagon is a beauty. Mr. Kahrs will also open a store on Broadway and St. Charles street, a splendid location right in the heart of the shopping district. Young & Sons made a splendid showing at the Coliseum at the V. P. ball. This was the first time that the ball has been held at the Coliseum. It needed considerable effort to deco- rate so large a space but Young & Sons were right there and had one of the finest decorations ever made in this city. John H. Kahrs has leased for five years the store in the Oriel building at 322 North Sixth street. The rental is $3,000 a year. The store has a frontage of eight feet and a depth of 23 feet. On Saturday
