Artist/engraver/cartographer: Isaak Tirion (1705 in Utrecht – 1765 in Amsterdam), an 18th-century Dutch publisher and cartographer. Provenance: "Atlante Novissimo", Pier Andrea Capello, Presso Giambatista Albrizzi Q. Gir, Venice. Type: Decorative 18th century copperplate antique map. The maps cover Bavaria, Austria, part of northern Italy and present-day Slovenia. The map area spans lake Constance in the west to Vienna in the east, and from Bamberg at the top of the map to the Adriatic and the Gulf of Venice close to the southern edge of the map. The river Danube flows prominently across the map.
