Maj. Gen. William Spangenthal, Air Education and Training Command deputy commander, looks over the base from the air traffic control tower at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, Feb. 8, 2021. Laughlin Air Force Base is the largest primary pilot training base in the United States Air Force.
