SAN DIEGO (Feb. 07, 2019) Ian Wilson, a phlebotomist from Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD), draws blood from Lt. Matthew Blanton, assigned to amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), during a blood drive in Boxer’s Intensive Care Unit. Boxer conducted the blood drive to establish reserves for possible future medical emergencies. Boxer is currently in its homeport of San Diego.
