Rise of Empire. Augustus & Colosseum, Rome, Italy

Blend of 3 of my original images in photoshop cs (statue of Augustus, the Colosseum, and stonework from the Forum as a texture) using layers. Painted the result in DAP using pastels & funky oils then blended the 2 results in cs Augustus or Octavian became the first Emperor of Rome after the death of his Uncle Julius Caesar, and the defeat of his coalition partners in the second triumvirate, MarK Antony & Lepidus.
