Rosca de reyes or bread of the kings cake pastry

A traditional ring shaped loaf, whose name means "bread of the kings" and is central to the celebration of "Day of The Kings" on Jan 6 or the 12th day of Christmas. It is adorned with wild cactus, crystallized figs, cherries dyed emerald green and candied orange peel. Baked inside is a figurine to symbolize the way the son of god was hidden from Herod.
