Through Each Others Eyes ™ it was founded 28 years ago with the mission to help people everywhere to understand and appreciate different cultures. The first exhibition of photographs in 1988, sponsored by the Sister Cities Commission in Phoenix, including two photographers in Phoenix and two of its sister city of Himeji, Japan. After five exchanges with Japanese photographers, TEOE expands its sister city of Hermosillo, Son, with photographers Juan Luis Fernandez and Conrado Quezada Escadón travel to Arizona for the first Phoenix -. Hermosillo exhibition in 1995. In 1996 Through Each Others Eyes ™ separated from the Sister Cities Commission and formed her own nonprofit organization. Since then, TEOE has continued its programs in Japan and Mexico (eight exchanges with Mexican photographers) and started new exchanges with photographers in Cuba, China, the Philippines, the Czech Republic, Sicily, Ireland, Scotland, Australia, and France. Also, Through Each Others Eyes ™ works with students of primary and secondary school to help them understand cultural differences through photography. More recently, in April TEOE photographers helped students in the fifth grade hózhó Bridge in Flagstaff, AZ elementary school, take photographs of various aspects of his life and an exhibition of his photos are prepared.
