These discs show that vehicle excise duty has been paid in respect of the vehicle on which it is displayed providing that the vehicle registration number on the disc matches that of the vehicle displaying it. This system is due to be phased out in October 2014. This image has been altered to obscure the registration number of the vehicle to which it was issued.
