View from the site of the permanent bridge across the White River overlooking two of the temporary bridges built at the upstream end of the silt flats. The channel to the right will be cut off with a dyke in order to force the entire flow straight ahead. This move will protect the five miles of road on the near or east bank of this stream, which this past summer were flooded by overflow waters from this channel particularly as they backed up into the Koidern River.
