Statue of Roy "Mo" Rene, a well-known comedian born Harry van der Sluys (or Sluice) in 1891 in Adelaide. He grew up on Hindley Street in the centre of Adelaide, where this statue is located, and became known as a star of the stage and radio. His stage and characters' names included Roy Rene, Roy Boy, Mo and Mo McCackie, and one of his most famous shows was Stiffy and Mo. He died in 1954. He is know for coining thoroughly Aussie sayings such as "Don't come the raw prawn with me" and "Fair suck of the sav".
