Warsaw, Poland - Polish Armed Forces guard of honour in front of the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument.


The Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument commemorates Jewish fighters who were killed during the Ghetto Uprising (18 April – 16 May 1943). The monument is coated with slabs made of stone which was imported by Nazis to occupied Poland from Sweden as a material for planned by Germans monuments commemorating Hitler's victories.
