Huygens probe at Titan. Artwork of the Huygens probe on the surface of Titan, the largest moon of the ringed planet Saturn (seen in sky). The parachute which slowed Huygens' descent through the atmosphere is draped on the ground behind the spacecraft. Huygens is designed to survive a landing on either a solid or liquid surface, as the composition of Titan's surface is unclear. Huygens will return data for between 3 and 30 minutes after landing. Huygens was carried to Titan by the Cassini spacecraft. Huygens will arrive at Titan on 27 November 2004.
