Boulton Paul Defiant Mark Is of No. 264 Squadron RAF. The Defiant was a British interceptor aircraft designed as a "turret fighter" that served with the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II. In combat, it was found to be effective at destroying bombers, the role it was designed for, but lacking forward-firing armament it was vulnerable to the Luftwaffe's single-seat Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighters, however, it found more success when converted to a night fighter.
Whilst the aircraft and other details remain exactly the same, the bleached out sky in the original image has been replaced.
