The Royal Navy during the Second World War Fairey Barracudas and Grumman Hellcats being ranged on the flight deck of HMS INDOMITABLE as the sun goes down. HMS HOWE is astern. This photograph was taken around the time of a Fleet Air Arm raid on Padang, supported by Allied Units of the Eastern Fleet. The raid was against the large Indaroeng cement manufacturing plant near Padang on the west coast of Sumatra and also against Emmahaven, the port of Padang.
