The hollow partitions also enclose the stairway wells and theelevator shaft on two sides, the other two sides being of the 2solid plaster type. A suspended wire lath ceiling is erectedover the top story. The steel columns throughout are pro-tected by liglit steel furring and Roebling wire lath finishedwith three coats of plaster. The soffits of the girders and beamsare protected with crimped wire lath and cement plaster. Thefloor finish was in wood, laid over sleepers and sleeper fill.
