Palestinians clash with Israeli Security Forces as the latter attempt to crush a protest against the establishment of a new settlement outpost near the village of Beita, southeast of the West Bank city Nablus. The recent settlement outpost has been built by Israeli settlers on Palestinian land owned by residents from Beita, Qabalan, and Yitma villages, in the south of Nablus. Nablus is currently surrounded by more than 40 Israeli settlements and outposts, which are considered illegal under international law as located in Israeli-occupied territories
