Talc mineral sample. This mineral is a hydrated magnesium silicate, formed by metamorphic processes. It usually occurs in fibrous form and ranges in colour from white to green and greenish grey. Talc is notable for being used as the softest rock on the scale of hardness. It is used in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
