The Deep Creek Trail starts outside Bryson City and runs for 15 miles to a junction with US 441 near Newfound Gap. The trail follows Deep Creek closely till the final climb out of the watershed to US 441. Near the beginning of the trail there are several loop hikes including one mile loop that will take you by three waterfalls in the surrounding area (Tom's Branch Falls, Juney Wank Falls, and Indian Creek Falls. Deep Creek is popular for tubing in the warmer months although that practice is not recommended.
