The inscription reads:- "BUT A CERTAIN SAMARITAN AS HE JOURNEYED CAME WHERE HE WAS AND WHEN HE SAW HIM HE HAD COMPASSION ON HIM" The dedication reads as follows:- "This window was erected in affectionate remembrance of George Moore of London and Whitehall Cumberland who died November XXI:MDCCCLXXVI by the parishoners of Wigton and other friends".
