Bike not Bombs join the Aldermaston CND rally celebrating 50 years since the first march from there against nuclear weapons

Fifty years ago in 1958 the first marchers set off from Aldermaston in a protest against the British policy of using nuclear weapons and demanding a policy of unilateral disarmament. The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament is still going 50 years later and in an anniversary event around 8000 demonstrators surrounded the base, with larger groups at all of the gates around its several mile perimeter. They want to stop Britain's increasing proliferation of nuclear weapons with new generation arms replacing Trident and other weapons being planned. The group of Bikes not Bombs cyclists had set out from London, raising awareness along the original march route over 3 days.
