The Tabyn-Bogdo-Ola Mts situated on the border between 3 countries – Russia, Mongolia and China. Its name is translated as “The Five Sacred Mountains”. This is a mountain knot between 3 mountainous ridges in Altai – the Sailyugem, Mongolian Altai and South Altai Mountain Ridge. The highest summit of the Tabyn-Bogdo-Ola is Nairamdal or Kiityn Mount (4374 meters). It is the second highest point of Siberia after Belukha Mount. The Ukok Plateau is included in the Golden Mountains of Altai UNESCO World Heritage Site. The spectacular burials of the Pazyryk culture also know as the Ice Maiden were found on the Ukok not far from this place.
