The accompanying drawing is typical of this truck recon-struction work, this one illustrating the changes that were madeupon a type of truck built by J. G. Brill & Company, which wasplaced in service upon the road in 1901. These trucks were de-signed for a much lighter service and slower speed than is nowin force, as at that time the traffic handled upon the elevated brackets are shown in heavy lines to indicate the constructionand relative locations.
