“Sofia breathes” festival is part of the “Cultural calendar of Sofia” and from 2010 until 2014 was held in support of the candidacy of Sofia and South West region for “European capital of culture 2019”. The festival’s programme unites visual and performing arts, literature, ecology and sports, sociological and educational initiatives. The event's ambitions are aimed at the hundreds of independent Bulgarian authors, different organisations and initiatives, who will have the opportunity to express themselves.
