1870: A pinnicle on the coast at St Govan or St Gowan's Head. Saint Govan was a hermit who lived in a fissure on the side of coastal cliff near Bosherston, in Pembrokeshire, South Wales. Govan's Chapel was built in the fissure in the 14th century.
