The field fair on the outer castle square on April 13, 1826, (1826). The reason for the field fair held on a large scale on April 13, 1826 was recovery of Emperor Franz I from a serious illness. According to reports, the emperor was able to complete the ceremonial act, which was accompanied by several downpours of rain, from his chambers in the Hofburg through a window.
