One of the most beautiful of basket op vafse plants is Kenilworth Ivy (Linaria Cymballaria), and it can be grown from seeds by anyone as readily as a Morning Glory. Seedling plants are of rapid growth, come into bloom in a few weeks, and make long, drooping sprays of exquisite foliage thickly set with lovely little flowers. The plant thrives in a cool, dense shade, and likes plenty of moisture about the roots. The plants are hardy perennials with pro- tection at the north, and are excellent for carpeting a bed or Roses or Gladiolus. For a north window, or a window which the sun does not reach this lovely basket plant is just suited. It also does well in plant vases kept in a shaded place. The common sort has lilac-colored flowers, but I can supply the new white-flowered and the rose-flowered separately at 5 cents per packet. These rare ax d beautiful new vari- eties, however, are included in my special mixture, which is prepared with care, and ofiered at 4 packets 10 cts., 1 packet 3 Lantana, New Dwarf. Finest mixedf 4 packets 10 cents, 1 packet 3 cents. Latanas grow well from seeds, but do not start as readily as some seeds—mostly requiring from four to six weeks to ger- minate. Seedlings are very thrifty, begin to bloom in autumn and produce the finest flowers. The plants are easily trans- planted, and flourish in any rich soil in a sunny exposure. They like heat, and when plants are bedded out in the spring they bloom abundantly throughout the hottest months. The only objection to Lantanas for either house or garden has been their tail, loose growth. This can be overcome somewhat by severe pruning—cutting back the more vigorous branches to encour- age a dense and bushy growth. The New Dwarf Lantanas I offer, are, however, naturall;^ of dwarf and compact grow
