We found a great quantity of fragments, someof it beautifuliy painted in colours, as a rule on a white or dark red ground. Aiittle gilding was also used. Several pièces of wooden cofllns were found. Some of thèse appear tobe of an early date, but it is diflicult to judge from the smali fragmentsfound. AH thèse tombs are perfectlv plain, there is no painting or inscriptionor carving, or even Ka door in anv of them. This naturally makes itdillicult to assign t
