For years he has alsobeen prominently identified with the Safety First cam-paign. Mr. Paul F. Sise Steps Up to Presidency ofNorthern Electric Company Mr. Faul F. Sise,, formerly vice-president and generalmanager of the Northern Electric Company, Limited, hasbeen elected president in succession to his brother, Mr. E. , who recently tendered his resignation as chief execu-tive of the organization in order to give his attention to otheractivities. After graduating at McGill in 1901, the new presi-dent took an apprenticeship course at the Pittsburg plant ofthe Westinghouse company, and was with the same com-pany in New York from September 1902 to September 1903when he returned to Canada and became connected withthe Montreal Sales Department of the Canadian Westing-. house Company. In December 1904, Mr. Sise became secre-tary-treasurer of the Northern Electric and ManufacturingCompany, Limited, and in 1910 was appointed managingdirector of that company. When the Northern Electric andManufacturing Company was amalgamated with the Imper-ial Wire and Cable Company in 1914, Mr. Sise became vice-president and general manager of the new organization. InDecember 1915, Mr. Sise went overseas as Adjutant to the148th Battalion, from Montreal, was later attached to theWar Office in London and sent to the United States on thestaff of the British Recruiting Mission, after which he servedwith the Canadian Forces in Siberia—returning home inMay 1919.
