The floor of the upper box or hopper is covered with zinc to facilitate the sliding down of the seed which goes into two conductors, one on either side at the back. The glass extending across these enables one to see if there is food in the hopper without raising the cover, which is hinged and may be readily opened by pressing a bolt on the right side. The hopper will hold seed enough to last for weeks, and a suet rack.
