Church of St Peter Mancroft in the Centre of Norwich with a traditional Old Fashioned Red Telephone Box,Norwich,Norfolk
The St. Peter Mancroft Church stands in the heart of Norwich, Norfolk, opposite The Forum. It is the largest church in Norwich and was built between 1430 and 1455. It has a Norman foundation dating from 1075, a 1463 font, a 1573 Flemish tapestry, medieval glass and a memorial to Thomas Browne memorial, author of Religio Medic. There was once a large male voice choir which has depleted somewhat in recent years. There is still a tradition of music and song kept alive by parishioners and congregation alike.
