Tiumpan Head Lighthouse at the end of the Eye Peninsula on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides.
The Tiumpan Head lighthouse on the Isle of Lewis has marked the western limit of The Minch since 1900. The building of the lighthouse was first approved in 1879, it was designed by David and Charles Stevenson and built by John Aitken and first used in December 1900. There were originally six lighthouse keepers attached to the station but it was automated in 1985.
