Tower blocks on the Red Road estate in Glasgow

The Red Road flats were built between 1962 and 1969. Designed by architect Sam Brunton, they comprised a mixture of 28 storey “slab” blocks and 31 storey “point” blocks, for a while, the highest residential tower blocks in Europe. After a period of decline they were demolished between 2010 and 2015. Photo taken in 1995.
