DAHIi, Alexander, Sen., a pioneersettler of East Jordan Ward, Salt Lakecounty, Itah, was born Aug. 11, 1831,in Frederikstad, Norway, fourth childof Poul and Anna Marie Dahl. Helived witl; his parents on a Norwegianfarm until he was eighteeen years old,when he took up the carpenters trade,and mastered the same in five a convert to Mormonismhe was bai)tized Sept. 26, 1852, and wasordained to the office of a Teacher. Assuch he look a lively part in dissemin-ating the principles of the gospel. among his relatives and others, at thetime the Elders were imprisoned inFroderikstad.
