It is 307metres high cliff reaching above the Arctic Nordkapp is promoted as the northernmost point in Europe, it is not true, the neighbouring point Knivsjellodden point is (4780feet) further midnight sun can be seen from here between 14May and 29July. It was named as The North Capeby an Englishman, Richard Chancellor, in 1553.
