Farther on I found a set of 4 ofSalt Marsh Yellcw-throat in vinesand weeds on bank of creek, the eggsso far incubated that I left farther down I found another setof Western Flycatcher in creek bot-tom. 8 feet up from ground set onen 1 cf a willow stump that had beenbroken square off and splintered onsouth side for 12 inches higher. Thisset was of 4 eggs, incubation 40 feet from this place I founda set of 4 Long-tailed Chat which Itook; next, another set of Western 102 THE Photo by CleckleyNEST AND EGGS OF AM. the eggs are near the central bunch of beach grass. Flycatcher, about 5 feet up, nest builton top of driftwood that had lodgedbetween two forks of a willow. Thisnest contained 4 full fledged young. On going to the first nest the fol-lowing Saturday, expecting to find aset of 4 eggs, I found a young birdjust hatched and the other egg pip-ped, so that 2 eggs completed the set. On the 20th, I think it was, I founda peculiar set of Bi-color eggs were normally marked butthe eggs were of unusual length, thefourth egg was unspotted, less thanaverage width and length and elon- gated, abnormal shape. I am expecting to go to the coastafter set of Brandts Cormorants thisnext Sunday, if weather is will be the last chance for meto get any eggs this season, and this,calls for a 6 hours drive over rough,mountain road at night, (expect to goSaturda
