Dun Dulan broch on the west coast of South Uist, Scotland

Dun Dulan, or Dun Vulan, is an Iron Age broch on the southern shore of Rubha Aird a' Mhuile, a defensible promontory on the west coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Built in the Iron Age during the last centuries BC it would originally have dominated the landscape. The site was occupied for hundreds of years with a house built within its walls sometime between 200 and 400 AD. Since the site was abandoned it has become partially covered by a shingle bank but is now threatened by coastal erosion.
