One of the narrow cobbled stone streets, Jezuicka, leading into Old Town Market Place in Warsaw, Poland. 85 % of the old town was destroyed in the war, much of it during the Warsaw Uprising in August 1944. The local authorities relied on 17th century paintings of Italian landscape artist, Bernardo Belloto and pre-war architecture students' drawings to rebuild the Old Town, now on the UNESCO World Heritage Site .
