1991 archive photograph of a statue in the Campo dei Mori, Venice. It dates from the C13th and is of a Levantine merchant, known as Sior Antonio Rioba. The statue's nose was replaced with an improvised piece of iron in the C19th, since when it has been thought to be good luck to rub it.
