A German late Gothic gorget, circa 1490/1500 Collar opening on a hinge with locking bolts on the right pauldron, three sliding neck lames, the edges of the uppermost lame with distinctly turned-under flange. The cut edges on the front and on the back side are curved. The backplate with fan-shaped, tenfold fluting. Each side sliding on two lames, the outermost lame with an offset edge. Each side with a movable, spring-locked bolt to insert the arm defences. The breastplate and the backplate each with struck armourer's mark.
