Thiswould make an interval of 267 feet 10 inches between the coals,which agrees closely with intervals measured in the eastern por-tion of the county. The interval between the Sewickley andPittsburg coals is 90 feet in the Fleahman well and 80 feet in theothers. The gas sand designated by the drillers in this locality, onaccount of the more open character of the rock and thereforemore rapid drilling, the Hurry-up sand, is 475 (Hohman) and500 feet (Gantzer) below the Pittsburg coal, while the sandscalled the Dunkard in the Wagner and Fleahman wells are 489and 484 feet below the coal,
