Faded frescoes attributed to church painter Josef Anton Puellacher (1737-1799) decorate the graceful gable of the Baroque roadside Ortskapelle or local chapel at Fronhausen on the Mieming or Mieminger Plateau, a mountain terrace up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) above the Upper Inn valley in North Tyrol, Austria. The artworks, below a wood-shingled bellcote, feature St Martin of Tours dividing his cloak with a beggar and two men with a horse. Between them are flying angels and a Madonna and Child within an ornate frame.

Fronhausen, North Tyrol, Austria: faded frescoes perhaps by the Austrian church painter Josef Anton Puellacher (1737-1799) decorate the graceful gable of the Baroque roadside Ortskapelle or local chapel in this hamlet on the Mieming or Mieminger Plateau, a mountain terrace about 14 km ( miles) long and up to 1,000 m (3,280 ft) above the Upper Inn valley. The artworks, below a wood-shingled bellcote, include (left) a depiction of Saint Martin of Tours, a patron saint or horses, dividing his cloak to share it with a beggar, and (right) two men with one of them holding a horse. Between them are flying angels and the Madonna and Child enclosed by an ornate framed medallion. An alternative attribution for the paintings is to another late-18th century artist, Josef Degenhart.
