The oldest of the houses is still the main and central times burnt, it has always been restored upon the oldwalls which by their solidity have defied the flames. The buildingthoroughly fitted up with electric lights and steam heat, containsnow the chapel, two literary society halls, twelve lecture rooms,and the treasurers office. Other lecture rooms are in the newscience hall, built in recent years, containing twelve lecture andlaboratory rooms. Two old English brick buildings with exquisitely gracefullines are the Brafferton Building, 1723, and the Presidents house,1732. The Brafferton Build
