Brigadier Gen. Fred Maiocco, Commanding General of the 7th Mission Support Command headquartered in Kaiserslautern, Germany, hosted a delegation of partner nations during Saber Strike 18, June 4, in Powidz Poland. The large military exercise in the Baltics and Poland is, among other things, building US Army readiness across all its components, active, guard and reserve. The group, including battalion and brigade level officers from Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania, toured various medical, training, and logistics facilities, and spent time with 7th MSC units and Soldiers in the field. Maiocco was able to share with the group firsthand how US logistics operations integrate with host and partner nations to support a full range of missions. The exercise also provided the opportunity to prepare for next year’s Saber Guardian exercise in the same region.
